Home to the city of wine
Probably the most famous winemaking region in the world, Bordeaux is the largest appellation in France, both in terms of the volume produced and the value of its wines. Located on the banks of the Gironde, Dordogne and Garrone rivers, it’s best known for its complex and age worthy reds, predominantly made from a Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, often with Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot added to the blends.
